More people are set to benefit from P J Hayman's specialist travel insurance policy for customers with pre-existing medical conditions.

The insurer is ditching the upper age limit on its Free Spirit policy so older travellers can now take advantage.

Previously the maximum age a person must be to take out the firm's single trip insurance policy was 85. For the annual multi-trip policies the upper age was 79.

P J Hayman has reduced rates for cancer cover by up to eight per cent in a bid to make the Free Spirit policy more accessible and cheaper.

The over 80s are a growing group of long term travellers who seem happy to spend their kids inheritance! Being 80 now should not mean high premiums either for travel insurance.
